Flash Portal HIstory 08

I can't believe my cartoon Collin and the Wishing Tree was placed in the Flash Portal History on Newgrounds. If you dont know, the Flash Portal History usually holds the highlights of the year (the best cartoons, or the most unique, or the cartoon that shows the most work). Anyways, I want to thank the people that voted for my cartoon, and Tom Fulp for placing me in the History to begin with. Yeah, I feel pretty high on the pussy pedestal right now (whatever that means!)

Getting Back to Wizard Kin

So I finished the charity contest animation, and now I am waiting for the musical score by my friend Andrew. So after I finished, I crashed. I simply feel asleep. I couldn't even fill my limbs. So for today, I am taking a break. However, tomorrow I'll start back on Wizard Kin. The deadline I made for myself was mid February. Hopefully I can finish on time, but you never know. Things happen. I haven't really made much progress on Wizard Kin animation wise. I almost have the entire cartoon in animatic form. It helps guide me through a scene and stuff.


In other news, I also want to start a comic really soon. I just never find the time when I am animating, but I need to build my portfolio and that's probably a good way of doing it. Anyways, I'll probably just be lying down trying to come up with an idea. I would like it to be non-dialogue and just picture based. Anyways, chat with you guys later

Finishing up Animation for Charity Contest

So as we speak I am finishing up an animation for the Ammado Charity Contest. I started my entry about two days ago, so this really isn't taking me as long as I thought it would. The total run time for the animation will come out to about 45 seconds. I've been working sleepless nights to get this out the way so I can get back to making Wizard Kin. I never planned on entering the contest, but I decided long ago to start making more animations in order to gain a decent amount of income. The only way I think I can accomplish this would be to take commissions, enter contest, or make content in order to gain a sponsor. So I've been working diligently to make a name for myself so I can finally make a real living doing this. But anyways, the idea for my contest entry wasn't to hard to come up with. Actually, I just read the theme for the contest and started to freestyle the cartoon. Funny thing is, this animation seems to make sense even though its pretty abstract. For the time being so short, there are many symbolic things I've added that I probably shouldn't have, but I was just letting my creative juices flow.Well, time to continue drawing. Finally made a Blawg

So, I finally decided to start blogging just to make myself look a tad professional as an independent animator. I think this will help me keep myself interested in the projects that I'll be starting up. Plus, I can organize everything just in case if I forget what the heck I'm suppose to be doing. Anyways, I'll be updating with something soon. So far I have nothing news worthy.
